golfer jedi dude, i'm glad you weren't the one trying to get raj in here. thanks 8-)

Raj is more than welcome to come here. Maybe during his absence, he is gathering some corroborating evidence. Some witnesses to back his story and maybe some video!

If this thing is real, the story needs to be brought out and some questions need to be asked. But on the current state of the evidence presented, I'm not buying it!

Nobody seems to want to touch this with a stick, but I'll bring it up again. Chad said this:

"Then it moves VERY quickly and is out of sight in the blink of an eye."

How does this fit with the "drone" idea? He also said it was "very large." Again, this does not compute. Any takers this time?

Also, a big Thank You to whoever it was that upgraded the account! And also to whoever it was did the math with the crop circle thingy. Now if I don't get my butt into the dining room for dinner, I'll be in deep doodoo. I'll try to get caught up later, if there are not 20 more pages by then!

No more photos, no new witnesses, no more words from Raj. Nothing.

What would you think then?

That i should wait for another couple of weeks.
- The Capitola Police hasn't replied, yet
- More kind of Shirley witnesses may come forward
- Raj has been away for 3 days only
- an ad is to be published in a local daily paper, anytime soon.

@ Double_Nought_Spy

Well based on the analysis of spf33 and onthefence and saladfingers. It is probably around 15ft to 30ft. I guess it all depends on what you think is big. I can imagine that the weirder an object is the stranger the recall and exaggeration the mind adds to it.

If you saw a car sized drone hover over your home. Would you recall it perfectly as a common day object or would your mind unconsciously cope with the strangeness of the object by adding details and exaggeration's as to it's particular appearances.

If you don't know what I am talking about then you probably have never had a neighbor who reports something and adds "strangeness" to an otherwise normal event.

I realize that in the modern realm of the influence of the internet we are prone to "instant gratification" for knowledge. However to put this matter (the sightings in question) into perspective it has not yet been a month since the first Chad photos surfaced on C2C. It is still WAY early in the game yet. It's been almost sixty years since Roswell and the circumstances surrounding that landmark event are yet to be proven as absolute.

I believe patience will be a virtue in this matter. I understand the desire of many to "strike while the iron is hot" -- and information/evidence could be lost if neglected - i.e. digital photo memory cards - however if everyone concerned with a lack of witnesses, further photos, media coverage etc. could take a breather and realize that more information. witnesses and photos could possibly be forthcoming in due time -- it could perhaps benefit the investigation overall.

Thanks, filtor, I brought up the same point several pages back. We are impatient!

One other point brought up by calikid, yes, it is a 3-hour round trip for Raj.

Six of ten. And only because I expected the artist to do a much better job than they actually did. (didn't help that they didn't let you zoom in.)

I got a 7, but they all looked real. Not too many hints to be had there.

I was photography buff in my younger years. I could tell by depth-of-field, lighting/shadows and imperfections.

But I couldn't tell completely. I only missed on the monkeys - I thought they were real.

Of course I also had a head start by you posting the car. ;D
Actually I would have guessed it to be a real picture that has been touched up. And in fact it very well could be a composition of two or more real pictures that are worked in a CGI program, so that it isn't completely fabricated. But still qualifies as CGI.

Let me just say I read all 121 pages of posts that were made as I type this. I stumbled across pictures of this UFO completely by chance on a blog and found this forum when I got curious about it. At that time, there were 52 pages to this thread and I have been following avidly since then.

I noticed that while there are posters who do wonderful work analyzing the pictures and researching sources the banter seems to be along the lines of:

"It's a hoax until a witness comes forward." A witness comes foward. "It's a hoax unless he posts withing [insert time limit]." The witness answers questions. "It's a hoax unless they answer THIS particular question." I understand that digging is a requirement of investigation but it also seems that sometimes people have decided for themselves already and not really "open".

Now I've never seen a UFO in my admittedly few 22 years of living. I don't know what to believe so I'm going back at forth as I read the posts here. I'm not sure about how open-minded I am but I do not believe I am not biased one way or the other. Simply from my perspective as a person who lives in a society that thinks so much of public image and yes, even online image, if I'd been Raj, I would not have come forward at all. As you can see, I've lurked this long. In the likely event that this is a hoax, I will most probably lose all interest in UFOs again. Pages back I was ecstatic he'd come forward though.

I'm not sure who it was but back near the beginning, there was the "put myself in their shoes" method used for the Chad case. To be honest, if I were in Chad's shoes, I'm sure I would have turned to the internet and not to the authorities. I would have inquired about what I saw privately too, maybe through email to someone like admin on this forum. Why? I'm influenced by what I've seen on television about government conspiracies and cover ups. I'd be more scared of MIB coming for me and my spouse than the aliens. If I were feeling ill effects maybe I'd move. If I moved I would probably have other things on my mind than setting up a new internet connection and seeing how people were proving me to be a hoaxer. Like getting another job, setting my wife up with a new doctor and such.

Since Chad is said to have a pregnant wife and Raj is just engaged, I'm guessing they've been influenced by similar media since I'm assuming their age is probably in the twenties to mid-thirties. Obviously I could be wrong. I'm just being curious but I'm going to stick to this until I get one answer or another.

Kudos to fore, 11...something?, saladfingers and onthefence particularly for all the insight. colorsymphony kind of made me "lol" but all the contributions have been fascinating! I hope I didn't ramble on too much.
