Welcome emkay,

Hope you have a lot of time to lurk. This seems to be heading into a long wait and see scenario.

Feel free to look around, there might be other threads you could be interested in. And feel free to chime in anytime ;D

Welcome Emkay. Kind of you to share your experience of watching all this take place. I too was a lurker for a few weeks before I joined the forum. That was now 34 hundred posts ago LOL, but I know the feeling making your first post.

And your thoughts are most appropriate. Thank you.

Glad you showed yourself. :)

Well based on the analysis of spf33 and onthefence and saladfingers. It is probably around 15ft to 30ft. I guess it all depends on what you think is big. I can imagine that the weirder an object is the stranger the recall and exaggeration the mind adds to it.

If you saw a car sized drone hover over your home. Would you recall it perfectly as a common day object or would your mind unconsciously cope with the strangeness of the object by adding details and exaggeration's as to it's particular appearances.

If you don't know what I am talking about then you probably have never had a neighbor who reports something and adds "strangeness" to an otherwise normal event.

I think 15 to 30 feet is a good guesstimate. If Chad had seen the thing nine times, from various perspectives, I think he would have a decent idea of its size. Surely he could tell the difference between car size and airliner size, for example. Yes, I am very familiar with the various phenomena involved with recall and such. I would not think it much of an issue in Raj's case, where there was a brief sighting of something overhead, but observing the object moving around on nine separate occasions?

The thing I think is strange, especially in the context of some kind of drone and particularly in the case of a drone of terrestrial origin, as many are assuming, is the vanishing act. Gone in the wink of an eye. Hmmmm.

vanishing act it could contain some reverse engineered cloaking or rapid speed technology that the aliens have handed over the the so called MIB that might explain it

Quoting Chad again:

"Then it moves VERY quickly and is out of sight in the blink of an eye."

Again, common UFO behavior, as in flying saucer.

Was only a matter of time before some loser did something like that.

But I have a queston does not there need to be a false claim for there to be a hoax? If I remember right no one who took the photos made any claims to what these things are.

Oh, good. Now we can have a lively discussion about hackers, flickr accounts and the hackability of same. Maybe some psychoanalysis of adolescent vandals. It never stays dull in here for long!

Let me just say I read all 121 pages of posts that were made as I type this. I stumbled across pictures of this UFO completely by chance on a blog and found this forum when I got curious about it. At that time, there were 52 pages to this thread and I have been following avidly since then.

Emkay,

Welcome, and thanks for giving us an outside looking in perspective. Very well written. I agree that we are very fortunate that Raj came forward. Most people would not have given it a second thought.
