To me this UFO-case has appeared true from the very beginning.
The only question was if it is was of alien, military or "private
excentric professor/innovator" origin. The anwers from "Raj"
I think confirm it is true. If a hoax, he must be a genius both as actor, writer, CGI-expert, artist and engineeer.

My impression is, this case is more believed in by engineering and
scientific minds than by "artist" minds. In contrast to what usually
is expected.

The reason for lack of reports about the craft may mainly depend on it appeared as a sort of model aircraft sighted from distance - only very nearby also "Raj" began regarding it interesting.

Is it really confirmed it really must depend on new technology?
No turbine/propeller is seen inside the "cylinder" - and of course
such had been seen if there was normally arranged turbine/ propeller covering also the center of cylinder, with or without center cone. But if it is a rotating turbine without center area, i.e rather short blades moving very swift along the rim - electromagnetically fixed/ driven at the rim in some way? If these blades were transparent and moving sufficiently fast, they might "disappear" in a photo?

But personally I believe this craft uses new technology, whether
alien or military. But if alien, this is not their latest technology.

Googles cached page says photos were uploaded on the 20th May

Well, Admin, have you considered making contact with the Tahoe PD ?

I think the most interesting development of the last few hours is the police investigation. A two square mile town is very small. It sounds like a typical small town, where everybody knows what everybody else is up to, or at least thinks they do. I don't think it will take the police long to locate those utility poles, near the home of a mechanical engineer with a daughter soon to be wed. Assuming these all actually exist. I think I'll stay tuned. *Damn* this place!

Capitola is a small island in Santa Cruz county. Perhaps admin might consider contacting the BIGGER neighboring Santa Cruz PD for reports of sightnings? Or do we trust Capitola will contact SCPD?

i'm getting the dates confused. the images were pulled off the memory stick the same day they went up on flickr.

Would that contradict what Raj said about not having the memory stick and having to get it from his in laws (a 3 hour round trip)? The pics were taken at an earlier date and uploaded days later? Can we safely assume Raj uploaded the pics from his place rather than his in laws?

In his original flikr post he said i was at my inlaws to be.....

Even if he did (upload days later), he could have copied the images to a laptop, or burned them to a CD, etc. Many alternative scenarios that would explain why he did not have the flash drive in his possession on the day he uploaded the images. Perhaps we can get a comment from Raj now that he is back in contact with admin. :)

It seems that Detective Gonzalez can check with other jurisdictions as he sees the need. I would be curious to hear if Raj catches up with him and if so what Raj reports about his contact with Capitola PD. It also will be interesting to hear what Raj reports about his dealings with Flickr and more details about his "late night phone calls."

yeah, it says uploaded on 5-20, but i think under "more properties" it listed the actual hour\min\sec time stamp for the upload.

Here is how I see it....

1. Within a few weeks three sets of images turned up.

2. Three different craft or one craft with three different configurations is indicative of a "probe/probes" being used for different purposes which usually mean that there is some agenda or mission that requires different tools to collect different forms of data.

3. If we believe Chad then its mission takes more than one day and many trips around his house and now Chad has a better camera.

4. Whoever is controlling the object does not care if anyone sees it.

My Conclusion: If it is real there will be more photos soon.

Opinion: I have worked in cg for over a decade and I believe the object is real. As for its origin, who knows maybe it is built from an air filter and a plastic battleship model and its running on strands of some form of microfilament.

someone with a fresher brain than i needs to figure out the logic behind the exif dates and xmp dates...

A few simple questions. What date were the pics taken? What date were the pics uploaded to flikr? Id look myself but rajs page is gone and I am too lazy to go look around?

Shads,
May have missed it, sorry if this has already been answered.

The pics themselves (1600x1200) show they were captured on 5/16/2007.

Internal data (open JPG file with notepad) shows the date last save as 5/20/07. It also shows the file was saved by "Photoshop CS".

I don't know the Flikr upload date, but I assume it must be 5/20/07 or later (last saved date of file).

this;

"On this comparison, you can see eight other objects in the sky. Two of these objects (I believe) are Venus and Mercury. If you look close at the emboss photo, you can see the details of the clouds."

makes me at least seriously question his image analysis, thus the rest of it.

i think it's generally accepted that the "objects" are dust and debris on the scanner bed.

You are much more familar with this stuff, than I am.

But the dust and debris should be on the other photos as well?

Maybe not in the same exact spot, but some?
