Oh boy.

Strieber says, in his latest journal, that LMH has spoken to "Chad" and "Mr. Smith," and is convinced of their honesty. Strieber stops just short of swallowing the whole Liberace Wedding Cake story hook, line, and sinker. He has a lot of interesting things to say in that entry, but then I happened to be listening in late '98, I think it was, when Strieber and Art Bell spoke with "Dr. Reed" on C2C.* Lots of us were taken in by "Dr. Reed" and his buddies from the gas station. His "landlord" appeared on C2C later, as well as a "scientist" or two, one of whom claimed to have a degree from a place that didn't exist, or some such claptrap. Strieber doesn't seem to think it's likely that all these current "witnesses" could all be lying so convincingly, but maybe he has forgotten about the hoax perpetrated by the gas station crew and one con man.

*"Coast to Coast AM" is a radio program. If a station anywhere near you carries it, all you need in order to hear it is an AM radio. You can pay to listen on line if you (like me) don't live near a station that carries it, or if you want to listen to an older show. The station count is down from Bell's heyday, but I am sure "Chad" could pick it up from LA or somewhere. I used to listen sometimes when it was available, but like television, it's something I don't miss in the least.

These new stories offer additional bits of detail to flesh out the behavior of the objects, but again I feel like I have to take the story with a grain of salt, because the earnest and helpful tone is getting a bit overly familiar. It seems to be another story that is just beyond the reach of any independent scrutiny.

It also bothers me that LMH puts this stuff up, one story after another, without checking anything out. It's like P.T. Barnum or something--show business.

whoopeddog: I've thought for some time now that LMH opted for showbiz some years back. If you ever see her speak at a conference--she knows how to work a room.

That bothers me, too. In the old days, researchers were very careful to describe just what sort of research they had done to check out a witness, how many contacts they had had with them, and the nature of those contacts. We don't seem to get any of that quaint behavior these days.

Interesting! I have noticed, of course, that she rarely publishes any comments or data from anywhere that might tend to refute the reality of any of the stories she publishes. I guess it's time I realized she is no more credible than Art Bell. Pity, for she is very talented. Talent is gold in ShowBidness.

His comments are certainly interesting, and he does cover all the bases.

Personally, I think LMH is a hero. She doesn't claim to know exactly what's going on, but she does a lot of work to organize reports and interview those who claim to be witnesses. I really respect her a great deal, but I don't hold her to standards that she's unlikely to fulfill. I also don't hold her to standards I can't fulfill. Her work has had a profound impact on my perspectives, and has long been a source of fascinating and speculative anomalism.

But personal feelings aside, I think it's important that she publishes material so broadly. Without her, evidence would probably be missing. If she took time to 'verify' (practically impossible in many cases) each witness (by what standards?) before posting, let's face it, she'd post maybe once a year, possibly not at all. I'd rather see the whole mishmash of likely and unlikely evidence all together, in one spot, than to have access only to those elements which had been 'studiously verified'. I think most of us actually share this perspective, no? I mean, sure, there's a spectrum of relatedness, and there's a continuum of chaos beyond which additions to the pool become relatively meaningless. Would any of us want to wait 3 months for her to verify the Yosemite report before hearing about it?

BTW: I have been around long enough to remember the Dr. Reed fiasco. :)

So, lemme get this straight. You don't care if "reporters," "researchers," or "investigators" take the trouble to verify basic facts? Like whether any such person actually exists? Wow. You just want data, good data and crap, and then you sort it out? How do you do that, pray tell?

i had to put my "what if" glasses on half way thru it, but otherwise
i think it's an excellent examination of what's currently happening.
was an enjoyable read;

"Whatever the answer, they represent a fundamental and material change in the whole UFO phenomenon."

I think we should start naming these things. I'll propose "Liberace's Wedding Cake" for this latest one.

As I dropped by for a minute today, and saw these pics again, it came to me the the main vertical body looks very much like a sceptre, as in the one in Churchward's Lost Continent of Mu, which is also similar to the Tibetan Dorje shape, but on a scepter. Still haven't de-boxed all my books, so can't find the image I'm looking for, but it's in this vein. I would call it a "Scepter Ship".

Well, that's a good name, too, but I would bet money (not a lot of money, but a few bucks) that Liberace's Wedding Cake was inspired by the Billy Meier "Wedding Cake" photo.

Bellringer has been involved with the NESARA financial scam for years. I wouldn't trust him one iota. He's either a crook or deeply deluded.

http://www.quatloos.com/NESARA.htm names Bellringer as specifically involved with this scam. It blows my mind that they've been able to keep this Ponzi scheme going for so many years!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NESARA_conspiracy_theory is some good background.

http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/projects/dove/ gives an entire series on the crazy woman who started the scam.

quatloos is a bunch of republican "skeptics" with a skull and bones insignia. you trust them? i've seen that site before, it made me want to vomit.

wikipedia nesara articles are not accurate and have been tampered with.

dove is a fake. a disinformant. she didn't start anything. you believing that shows you fell into the trap of disinfo.

and just for the record patrick is a very nice man who has helped a lot of people. his wisdom and honest work shows that he is no fake. if he's deluded then so be it, aren't all of us? the point is his intentions are good and he's not making any money off of anything nor does he treat anyone in a cult-like manner.

you should message him, ask him everything you want, tell him you came from here and that i sent you.

you can believe what you want. but the links you posted are all disinfo so i had to correct you.

News on the latest witnesses would be greatly appreciated! :)

PS If I were Raj, this new sighting would be a blessing since he is most likely overwhelmed with people trying hunting him down....just an opinion to chew on.
