Point well taken
about all avenues being up for exploration. My
point is just that there is a common thread
through these sightings of a certain
unavailability of those who post these stories.
It leads me to think that these images are
well-produced computer graphics, and they exist
on somebody's hard drive somewhere, and nowhere
else.
It's just a working assumption or
hypothesis, but no new information so far has
tended to contradict it. We have Whitley
Strieber saying that Chad has spoken with LMH,
but we don't know that Chad isn't Raj or Stephen
or even Alabama guy for that matter.
Of
course, Stephen has promised a hike to the site
at Big Basin, so I can wait on
that.
Well
put. There is nothing about being Open Minded that
precludes the use of logic, common sense, proven
investigative techniques, and so forth. Quite the
opposite, in fact.

My interest
has reached fever pitch here. I can not think of any
rational reason why these may all be a hoax, add to that
a similar craft is seen in a photo from Italy in 99...
all of this could be a hoax but I seriously doubt
it.
Because my interest is so strong now, I
watched the movie Out of The Blue last night again on
UTube. Guess what?
There is a part in the movie
that goes over the event that happened in Russia or
Germany, not sure which right now, because I was so
amazed.. They were showing a saucer shaped UFO that
crashed into a mound and half of it was sticking out of
the ground. The LETTERS ARE THE SAME as on those droids.
Check it out.
I'm think we have to use empathy
and hard thinking here about what is probably going on
with these people who have submitted these photos. If
Raj is getting middle of the night phone calls, then he
is being spooked to keep quiet. I think a number of
governments have probably taken note of this and are
trying to contain or control this situation. They have
before and I can't imagine why they wouldn't be
intensely in this situation.
This is a huge life
changing event for who ever shots a picture of this
vehicle and submits it. It was not what they initially
sought when they came forward I'm sure. They have
probably gotten a lot more than they bargained for by
just sharing and being curious. That's my two cents
anyway. Look at the photos from that crashed saucer
event in OUT OF THE BLUE. Same lettering.
Personally, I think
LMH is a hero. She doesn't claim to know exactly
what's going on, but she does a lot of work to
organize reports and interview those who claim
to be witnesses. I really respect her a great
deal, but I don't hold her to standards that
she's unlikely to fulfill. I also don't hold her
to standards I can't fulfill. Her work has had a
profound impact on my perspectives, and has long
been a source of fascinating and speculative
anomalism.
But personal feelings aside, I
think it's important that she publishes material
so broadly. Without her, evidence would probably
be missing. If she took time to 'verify'
(practically impossible in many cases) each
witness (by what standards?) before posting,
let's face it, she'd post maybe once a year,
possibly not at all. I'd rather see the whole
mishmash of likely and unlikely evidence all
together, in one spot, than to have access only
to those elements which had been 'studiously
verified'. I think most of us actually share
this perspective, no? I mean, sure, there's a
spectrum of relatedness, and there's a continuum
of chaos beyond which additions to the pool
become relatively meaningless. Would any of us
want to wait 3 months for her to verify the
Yosemite report before hearing about
it?
BTW: I have been around long enough
to remember the Dr. Reed fiasco.
Your
comments are well-taken. I guess there is one
sense in which it is good to get unfiltered
information hot off the press. But I know that
it is a standard in journalism to verify
sources, and I don't know that it should take 3
months to do it. Otherwise, it makes you very
vulnerable to the kind of hoax many of us
suspect is going on here.
Another issue
here is that in my opinion all information is
not the same. Some is closer to the truth than
others. Some information is wrong, some
information is purposefully misleading. If
nobody tries to sort that out, how can we ever
get to the truth?
If LMH protects her
sources as proprietary information, then it
seems that she would have some responsibility to
verify what they are saying, at least at the
level that they are who they say they
are.
So, she's talked to Chad. It would
be good to hear more about what Chad has to say.
Similarly, Raj has promised to come back and
answer more questions. Similarly, Stephen has
promised to lead an expedition to Big Basin.
I'll be less skeptical when any of those things
happen.
I think if LMH puts unfiltered
claims out there, she needs to attach a
disclaimer of some kind, because it is really
not journalism on any level.
I do find it
exceedingly frustrating that there seems to be
such a low expectation that any of these people
show that they exist in the real world and that
their photos were really taken when and how they
say they were.
If the reporters continue
to be just out of reach, I think that tells you
more and more as time goes on.
P.S. Is
MUFON still investigating this? I wonder how
they will post their report? On their
website?
P.P.S. I wonder if there has
been any more contact between admin and Mark
Gonzales of Capitola PD, especially in light of
the new photos, which if real, should start to
be become a true Homeland Security issue. It
seems like that thing could do more damage than
a pair of nail clippers on an
airplane.
LMH
forces us to guess what level of verification (if indeed
there is any at all) she has used in her stories. She
seems to be saying, Trust me, I'm a journalist. Baloney!
If she is going to post whatever hits her inbox
concerning a given story, then she owes it to her
readers to post all of it, not just the stuff that seems
to support a juicy story. Later, when the more absurd
episodes unravel, she has the duty to report that too.
As I have pointed out here earlier, the meltdown of the
"Dr. Reed" hokum was at least as newsworthy as
the original claim. You can not have it both ways and
still keep your credibility.
My point is just
that there is a common thread through these
sightings of a certain unavailability of those
who post these stories. It leads me to think
that these images are well-produced computer
graphics, and they exist on somebody's hard
drive somewhere, and nowhere
else.
Yes
that is one common thread, of probably many
others.
It does seem fishy when you think that
this forum is our only world.
To be fair to the
witnesses... Take any random person (many of whom
have no association with UFO culture), they have a
camera at hand and witness this thing. They go to the
most popular UFO site (C2Cam,LMH,etc) to report. These
places/reporters are constantly barraged with reports
and need to make a paycheck which explains why they are
not bowing down to us here and providing contact
information -- why would they give up a revenue stream
to satisfy us?
Now, this random person (any of
the witnesses) says -- why should I bend over backwards
convincing a bunch of UFO nuts that I'm for real? Why
should I log onto some forum deep in the heart of the
internet and read 150 pages of chatter to be insulted
and asked questions that I've already answered, why is
that my responsibility -- I have a
life!
---
Maybe that's extreme, but I'm
really trying to put myself in their shoes. And by
random person, I'm thinking of anyone that I know
outside this forum (including
family/friends/workmates/etc) -- I cannot imagine one of
those people feeling comfortable with any disclosure of
their personal experience.
They were showing a
saucer shaped UFO that crashed into a mound and
half of it was sticking out of the ground. The
LETTERS ARE THE SAME as on those droids. Check
it
out.

Yes that
looks like the part of the video I was talking about. In
the video the craft is much clearer and you can get a
good idea of all the letters on it in several shots.

I'm dont
have the time stamp. It's past the middle of the
documentary. Use the one on UTube there is a lot of
clarity in that one, not sure about the one posted on
Google video.

Raj has
been in touch again.
I need to find out if he is
OK about us reproducing his email here - or editing out
bits which he may regard as being too personal. Chris is
going to be talking with him. Please be patient. Let's
try and sit this one through without any need for the
witnesses to have reason to not co-operate with
us.
Raj is Spooked. Seriously spooked. The whole
experience and the' repercussions appear to have begun
to sink in. He is still getting night callers' too.
About that, we can only speculate. The result is that it
is scaring Raj enough to warrant an investigation from
his telephone company. There have been 'traces' but it
seems the caller has been able to hide his location.
Ongoing.
He had contacted the Sentinel (the
newspaper) but has had no reply. I ( and I think at
least one other here ) can confirm that the Sentinel
have ignored our requests to. Again, make of that what
you will.
No mention of contact from Capitola PD.
So I assume that they haven't. I haven't heard from
Detective Gonzales - I said I'd allow a week and I will.
I'll contact him tomorrow.
Like I said - Chris
will be talking to him further - so we may indeed be
able to post up his communications with us. But the
above is the general meat of what was said. Oh, and he
think his fiance and fiance's brother are going to be
writing to me and Chris direct regarding their own
witness statements.
And that's about it.
I am certainly giving Raj the benefit
of the doubt right now - the importance of what he says
he has and is experiencing is potentially phenomenal. I
choose my words carefully (usually!) - but right now
even more so: Because if this is a hoax, then that
person could easily come out with it 'hands up' - the
reaction would be mixed. No doubt some would be angry
and some would be saying 'thanks for the ride' - we
explored and 'tested' some important analytical tools
which will undoubtedly be used in the future. No
biggie.
But to pretend that your own well-being
and that of some members of your family too? -- is just
plain sick - so the only loser would always be hoaxer -
not a problem for me.
So because of the
'distress' Raj is saying he is experiencing, I will
continue to give him the benefit of the doubt. my advice
for him now is tell the police about it.

well,
here are a bunch of higher res stills, i don't see any
symbols that look like the cali objects tho;

In the
movie the footage gives you the advantage of seeing this
(or one similiar) object in such resolution and light
that you can identify the characters of the lettering. I
looked hard and saw what I think is the same kind of
lettering. Esp noted by me were the little "cross"
characters between the larger set of characters as we
see in the drones.

Sorry,
doing something else right now. It's important enough
tho that I think someone should go to uTube, watch OUT
OF THE BLUE and get to that part of the movie and then
if they are more specialised than I am, take some good
res images out of it. I wouldn't know what else to do
except a screen shot to get a suitable image out of it.
It's a long movie I know, and I'm sorry at the time I
didn't have the presence of mind to note the time. I was
thinking too much about the similiarities and wondering
if I should mention it to the group here.

Man,
those are some good stills. Is it just me, or has the,
er, (re-)entry heat burned off all but a barely legible
remnant of:
NCC-1401-B
?? You know how
those Federation ships can't seem to stay in their own
timeline. Also, there seems to be some magnetic
attraction to late 20th century Earth, which may have
been affecting ships long before Kirk. I dunno, it's
just a theory.
